GARCIA RIVAS
Galduriense nacido en 1948, maestro de profesión, ejerce en Jaén donde asistió a clase de dibujo y pintura en la antigua escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos, teniendo como profesor a D. Fausto Olivares.
Por entonces (1973) hace su primera exposición, en el colegio Marista donde impartía clases de expresión artística. Presenta una veintena de oleos de los que Carmen Bermúdez comenta (Ideal, 17-12-1973). \"Sus paisajes, o sus sueños, evidencian una decidida actitud pictórica, que ya goza de base dibujística. No se puede clasificar su obra, pues se muestra diverso, aunque apunta una gran fuerza expresiva\".
La búsqueda de otros medios de expresión le lleva a realizar a lo largo de estos años actividades diversas como ilustración de la portada de revista, carteles de feria y carnaval, portadas de discos, murales y decorados.
Participa en algunas exposiciones colectivas.

Durante su vida profesional (actualmente está jubilado) se ha mantenido retirado de círculos y tertulias y realiza su obra al ritmo que el arte le dicta en cada momento a través de un lenguaje pictórico esencialmente expresivo, que apenas necesita explicaciones sin limitar contenido o técnica.

De las que se reseñan algunos comentarios y críticas :
La realidad se convierte en una excusa para fraguar una pintura con vida propia, con un mensaje íntimo para cada mirada. A la belleza perfectamente visible le funde figuras ocultas que impregnan todo el cuadro, que se desvelan a los ojos atentos, que atrapan el observador cuando descubre las hermosas lecturas que se pueden hacer en un pequeño espacio. Cuando varios mundos coinciden sobre una misma paleta, las cosas que surgen, además de inesperadas abren u universo multicolor, cuajados de movimientos inverosímiles de paleta, sembrados de colores puros y firmes. Al final el eclecticismo se plasma en cuadros que no son semejantes entre sí, por eso quizá Desemejanzas, o técnicas que revelan un profundo conocimiento del oficio.
Y es que a García Rivas no le importa coquetear con diferentes orientaciones si de cada una de ellas permite extraer un mundo mágico de formas , que le permita describir las sensaciones que le proporcionan observar la realidad desde diferentes prismas.(Carmen del Arco. Ideal 30/10/98).

Bear in mind we are dealing with works of art, so they may be in an exhibition (actually, this is awesome!). Those artworks which are in an exhibition are usually displayed as “non-available”. In case the artwork has been put up for sale, take into account the artist would have to manage with the organization of the exhibition the return of the artwork in order to be able to realize the shipment.
